Kanga is already there, but is still missing in the cup!
Hertha’s search for a center forward is over! Wilfried Kanga (24) from YB Bern has signed a contract with the Berliners until 2026 to solve the problems in the storm center.
He recently proved that he hits the box in Switzerland. In 31 games he scored 12 goals and prepared 4 more. And in the new season, Kanga immediately followed suit: 2 games, 3 goals, 1 assist. Hopefully the Frenchman will be just as accurate in the Hertha shirt in the near future.
Manager Fredi Bobic (50): “We are very pleased that we have succeeded in making Wilfried Kanga a Hertha player. With his height, physical presence, speed and drive towards goal, we’re getting a striker who is very well suited to the type of football we want to put on the pitch.”
Kanga is also happy: “Hertha is the club that wanted me the most and made me feel needed.
On Sunday in the cup (6:01 p.m., Sky) in Braunschweig, Wilfried Kanga is still missing due to a lack of a game permit.
That’s why Davie Selke (27) will play in attack – he should shoot the Berliners a round further in the second division. Hertha coach Sandro Schwarz (43): “It is our aim to live up to our role as favorite there.”

Jurgen Ekkelenkamp (22) will probably not be on the pitch. The midfielder has received requests from Holland (Feyenoord Rotterdam) and Belgium (Bruges, Antwerp). Ekkelenkamp rarely plays under Black and should therefore not be averse to a change.
If Ekkelenkamp goes, Jean-Paul Boetius (28/without a club) comes to Berlin.
Schwarz knows the attacking midfielder from their time together in Mainz and appreciates his aggressive style of play. Boetius is a free transfer and is already in the starting blocks.
What also speaks for a quick change: Boetius and Ekkelenkamp are under contract with the same consulting agency (ICM Stellar Sports).
