KalPa has acquired a Swedish winger with a two-year contract Max Görtzin.

Görtz, 29, has played in the last two seasons in the German Premier League. Last season, he scored 18 + 19 = 37 in 50 matches.

– Max is exactly the kind of player we’ve applied for. He brings with him a sharp and much-needed decision-making power, KalPa’s sports director Anssi Laine told the club in a press release.

– We wanted to make a direct two-year contract when such a player was available. We strongly believe he will become one of the leading stars of our attack, Laine continued.

Görtz has also played two seasons in North America in his career, but he didn’t have any NHL matches.

– I play conscientiously in both directions, but my greatest strengths are definitely in the offensive head. I have a good shot and am able to settle matches, Görtz said.
