Kalle Rovanperä gave his views on the mixing of the World Rally Championship:

Kalle Rovanperä, who is by far the leader of the World Rally Championship, improved his position in the World Rally Championship in Sardinia on Saturday.

Kalle Rovanperä starts from fifth place until the closing day of the race. Ford driver driving ahead Pierre-Louis Loubet is almost a minute away, so on Sunday the Finnish driver will head with moderation.

– There was little hope that some places could be snapped. We just tried to drive smart and avoid problems, Rovanperä summed up for Iltalehti.

– The investment is good at the moment compared to how difficult it was yesterday. We were left in a bad starting point, so in that sense you can be happy. This would already be a good victory in the fight, especially when Thierry (Neuville) dropped out of the game.

Saturday’s last special stage saw quite an adjustment for race organizers.

Ford driver Adrien Fourmaux´n after the run-off, the top drivers of the race set out to roast in a special stage after a break, but for some reason one of the officials showed a red flag at least to M-Sport Ford To Craig Breen and competition-leading Hyundai Ott Tänakille.

Today did not silence at the red flag, but later took his foot off the gas when he received a message in his car. According to Rovanperä, individual red flags are not always easy to see.

– I didn’t try to watch the clip after my own ride. There were some messages I got that there was a terrible adjustment there. Depending on the location, the ticket can be seen but not always noticed. There, the gang swings t-shirts and cheers on the pieces, so it’s not always easy to decide what’s what, Rovanperä summed up.

Extra points in the distribution

Additional points are promised again for Sunday’s final, but Rovanperä feels that the extra points may be tight.

– Let’s see what we can do with Power Stage. I guess it’s not a very good snippet for our car. You’ll see it tomorrow. Not quite the last hit has been found this weekend, Rovanperä admitted, referring to the car’s adjustments.

– As soon as there is a slightly wider road, there will be better times. Power Stage is really narrow and soft, kind of soft gravel all the time, so I don’t think it’s right for us. Hyundai has always been stronger in such a spore.
