KaDeWe Group promotes Timo Weber to Retail Director

The retail group KaDeWe Group has given Timo Weber additional responsibility. The 39-year-old, who has managed the Berlin luxury department store KaDeWe since 2018, took over the post of retail director at the turn of the year and, in his new function, is now part of the management of the entire group, the company announced on Wednesday.

Weber will remain General Manager of KaDeWe even after his promotion, but is now also “responsible for the sales management of Alsterhaus and Oberpollinger and for the expansion of the KaDeWe Group with the two new luxury department stores,” the group explained. At the beginning of 2025, the KaDeWe Group wants to open two more branches with the Carsch-Haus in Düsseldorf and the Lamarr in Vienna.

The group wants to “set up a holistic” sales structure and expansion plans

Group CEO André Maeder explained the background to the personnel decision: “The KaDeWe Group has developed tremendously in recent years and KaDeWe, Alsterhaus and Oberpollinger are shining in full splendor after the renovations,” he explained in a statement. “With a view to our new locations in Vienna and Düsseldorf, it is essential to set up the sales structure and our expansion plans holistically and to align them with the medium-term sales target of one billion euros.” He is very pleased that with Timo Weber “an experienced and successful department store professional from within the company for this challenging task and as a new member of the management team,” says Maeder.

In addition to CEO Maeder and the new Director Retail Weber, the management of the KaDeWe Group also includes CFO Michael Peterseim, Simone Heift (Director Buying) and Lars Globisch (Director IT).
