It’s Christmas at KaDeWe in Berlin. On the occasion of his 115th birthday and the most beautiful time of the year, as is well known, all signs are pointing to Christmas at the Berlin luxury department store. Meanwhile, the shop window front of the Kaufhaus des Westens creates a particularly festive atmosphere, because the luxury brand Dior created a winter scene for it. Only a few days earlier, the traditional English department store Harrods also unveiled a Christmas production designed by Dior.
Dior’s Christmas pop-up
Not only the Dior shop window front, but also a 270 square meter pop-up area of the French luxury brand provides winter flair. The temporary shop is dedicated to the Cruise 2023 collection presented in Seville by creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri. The surface is draped in cool white and blue tones and decorated with gold stars and other celestial bodies. Visitors can still admire the Christmas window decorations at KaDeWe until January 7th, while the pop-up will remain part of the department store until January 28th.
115th birthday with a full house
The Berlin Kaufhaus des Westens celebrated its 115th birthday last week with more than 2,000 guests. The party brought together personalities such as actress Anna Maria Mühe, author and presenter Riccardo Simonetti, TV presenter Palina Rojinski, the who’s who of the Berlin scene and business partners of the house.
KaDeWe didn’t miss out on champagne and appetizers from the bars and counters on the delicatessen floor. The top floor turned into a club, where No Frills as well as actor and DJ Lars Eidinger djed. Influencer Caro Daur made her debut as a DJane at KaDeWe and DJed with DJ and producer Wolfram.
