Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet writes that Sweden’s King Carl Gustav will have an operation next week.
The king will be cut on February 20 as planned. It is a heart operation that is performed under observation.
– The king is doing well and he will perform his duties until the day of the operation, the court says.
After the operation, the king will be on sick leave until at least March 3. This means that the official tasks planned for that period will be moved to later spring.
Hovi does not comment further on the reasons for the heart operation, as privacy protection also applies to members of the royal family.
However, the procedure is carefully planned, and it is not said to be the cause of a sudden illness.
