Marissa Loos (34) from Steenbergen feels very very ‘Oya Lélé’ on Friday because she is at the very first reunion concert of K3. Twenty years ago, Marissa went to a concert by the popular girl group for the first time. Then with the original occupation. After years, Karen, Kristel and Kathleen are now on stage again in the Sportpaleis in Antwerp. “I think I see my whole childhood in that room.”
Marissa and her best friend Michelle arrive just a little later than hoped because of the traffic jams around Antwerp on Friday evening. There are a lot of fans at the Sportpaleis, which is nowadays called AFAS Dome. “I only see peers. They are all dressed as a K3 song. I have lost my Oya Lélé-shirt from Kathleen and my girlfriend lost the shirt of the song Hart.”
For Marissa it is a girl’s dream that comes out. She has been a fan of K3 since she was eight. “A Flemish neighbor boy took Heyah Mama to my house. When I first heard that number I was immediately sold. I went looking for who it was and that turned out to be K3. From that moment I started following them non stop, listening and buying everything from K3.” Marissa has now even written tattoos with sentences from songs by the K3 girls.
“If you consider that they have made more than three hundred songs, you can no longer choose from that.”
Used to be Eternal and always her favorite number. “I fell asleep with it,” she laughs. “Now they are different songs. If you consider that they have made more than three hundred songs, you can no longer choose from that. I have a favorite of every generation. And from the singers Kathleen is my favorite. I always get happy.”
When Karen, Kristel and Kathleen announced months ago that they would go on stage again as an original occupation, Marissa was surprised. “Huh, already already? I didn’t expect it yet because the current K3 still exists. Very cool of course, really great.”

Marissa has been able to meet her idols several times. “If you often go to concerts, they will recognize you. At some point it happened that I was allowed to meet them.” And Marissa started to make videos of that. “Just for myself because I liked it. My vlogs originated from that and now it’s a success. Very special!”

K3 was founded in 1997 and from 1998 the official band name K3 became. Soon they were loved in Flanders and the Netherlands with songs like All colors,, “ Tele-Romeo and The three piglets. After ten years, Kathleen left the group in which a television program followed in which a replacement was sought. The Heusdense Josje Huisman won the K2 program is looking for K3 and she became the new singer.
In 2015, Karen, Kristel and Josje stopped K3 and three new singers arrived. Since then there have been a few changes and temporary K3 members. At the end of March 2025, the original members Karen, Kristel and Kathleen announced that they were going to perform together again under the name K3 Originals: the reunion.
