K-pop fans fear for their festival before Rammstein’s Frankfurt concert

Rammstein’s stadium tour has made headlines in recent months due to the allegations of abuse against Till Lindemann. Now a K-pop festival is causing renewed excitement around Lindemann and the band. Since the festival is scheduled to take place on the site next to the stadium concert in Frankfurt, K-pop fans fear possible conflicts. Now the stadium operator is speaking out about the unrest.

K-Pop meets Rammstein

After a show was subsequently added, Rammstein will perform at Deutsche Bank Park on July 11th and 12th. From 12th-13th The “Kpop Lux” festival also takes place there in July. Fans of Korean pop music took to Instagram to share their concerns about the organization. One person wrote: “It’s not really safe to have 40,000 people inside and several thousand outside at a concert.” Because the fans have very different character traits and mentalities in many respects, conflicts could also arise in this regard. Another fan is worried about the noise caused by Rammstein: “Rammstein has pyro, so the roof of the arena will be open and it will be really loud. You can hear that from tens of kilometers away.”

“You hear surprisingly little”

In order to smooth things over and reassure the fans, the stadium operator, Patrick Meyer, contacted the club “General Newspaper” to say: “It is quite astonishing how little sound from the stadium can actually be heard directly in the neighborhood.” He also said that running two concerts at the same time on the site had already been tried out several times in the past. When it comes to the number of visitors, the operator is also still relaxed – as a manageable number of tickets have been sold for the K-Pop festival so far.
