Man United return perfect
Same procedure as 2012: Six years after his departure from Juventus, the Bianconeri presented Paul Pogba as a new signing for the second time on Monday. The 29-year-old comes again from Manchester United, again on a free transfer. In 2016, the “Red Devils” had transferred a whopping 105 million euros for the return of the home-grown player to Turin – to date the most expensive entry on the part of Manchester and the most expensive sale by Juve.

At United, Pogba could not fully live up to the high expectations, with the “Red Devils” he won the Europa League and the League Cup in 2017. The relationship between player and club had gotten deeper and deeper cracks in recent years, as Pogba made clear again in the recently released “Amazon” documentary “The Pogmentary”.
“My thought is to show Manchester that they made a mistake by waiting to offer me a contract. And to show other clubs that Manchester made a mistake when they didn’t offer me a contract,” said the 2018 world champion of his departure. In 233 appearances for the English record champions, the midfielder contributed 39 goals and 51 assists.
Pogba sets transfer records at Juventus and Manchester United
Pogba recorded the highest market value of his career with 100 million euros in the summer of 2019 – this has now reached 48 million euros. In the ranking of the most valuable free transfers in history, Pogba ranks fifth with his return to Turin. He is the most valuable free transfer for Man United and the most valuable free transfer for Juventus. Pogba will receive a four-year contract with the “Old Lady”, which should bring him an annual salary of around 8 million euros net plus bonuses.
