Juventus Turin will probably have to do without storm talent Kaio Jorge well into the coming season. As the Italian record champions announced, the 20-year-old summer signing from Brazil had to have an operation on his knee as a result of a ruptured patella tendon. Juventus estimate the downtime to be up to eight months.
The former U17 national player switched from FC Santos to Turin in mid-August 2021 for 1.5 million euros, where he is under contract until 2026. Since then, Kaio Jorge has played jokers in eleven competitive games for the “Old Lady”. He also scored one goal in two games for the U23s in Serie C.
