Juventus extends winning streak

Juventus have continued their comeback in Serie A with a fifth win in a row.

The Italian record champions won their penultimate game before the World Cup break 1-0 (0-0) at bottom side Hellas Verona. With 28 points, Juve, fourth in the table, is still well behind the undefeated leaders SSC Napoli (38).

Moise Kean (60th) gave Juve the lead with his second goal of the season, which also held after the late red card against Alex Sandro (90th + 2).

Lazio Rom also scored three important points on Thursday with a narrow 1-0 (0-0) against promoted AC Monza and is second with 30 points. Luka Romero scored in the 69th minute.
