Juve, Montero will lead the Under 19 team: “I’ll be back home”. Brambilla at the Under 23

The arrivals of the Uruguayan as coach of the Under 19 and Massimo Brambilla for the Under 23 of the Lady have been official

Now it is also official: Massimo Brambilla and Paolo Montero are the new Juventus coaches respectively at the helm of the Under 23 and Under 19. A step of natural growth for the former, who in recent years has produced several talents ready to move to first team since the Primavera of Atalanta, a welcome return for the second who wore the black and white shirt between 1996 and 2005.

BRAMBILLA

“The air is good, I’m happy – admits Brambilla, through the official channels of the club -. It is an important professional opportunity, an honor to be here. A reason for pride to have been chosen by Juve to carry on the Under 23 project, in which the club and the president strongly believe. I am ready to give my contribution and to try to improve it more and more “. On the project: “Seen from the outside, it has always aroused great curiosity. I have seen that over the years it has always improved, it allows children to have a further step of growth – he continues -. Over the years I have always worked with young people, I like to work with them. As far as I’m concerned, I think it’s the natural outcome to arrive in a company that believes in a project like this “.

Also because – he says – “once my coaching career was over, I always had it in mind to start with young players. I spent twelve years in the youth sector, starting with the Under 15, then the Under 17 and up to the Under 19. In the last year I felt the need to do something more and to enter the world of the greats, I think there could not have been a better opportunity of this”. Football idea: “The boys are at the center of a coach’s work, the player’s training is the priority. Then of course there are other components such as the organization and the tactics that need to be put into it. Making a Lega Pro championship with the boys is certainly very stimulating and demanding, because they go to face teams that play their lives in quotes. For them it is therefore challenging and you have to prepare them in the right way, but I think there will be no problems because they come from an important youth sector like Juve’s. I am proud to be here and I will put all my strength to do well next year ”.

MONTERO

For the former defender, however, it is a homecoming. “I am very excited, happy to be back after so many years – says Montero -. I have always felt Juve as my home, it has been the club where I have played the most in my career and I also like the city very much, as it is quiet and similar to Montevideo, very respectful. Being here again and seeing former teammates like Pessotto is really nice, I have to thank all the management ”. Then he immediately enters Juventus mode: “Now there are no excuses, you have to do the facts and you have to work – he explains -. It is true that I also coached in South America in Serie A, but since you have to sell there you often find yourself with a very young squad. The experience, however, is always the same, the goal must be only one: it is not easy but you have to bring the team to its maximum level of quality, thinking of working as a function of the first team “. Who better than him will be able to transmit the Juventus DNA values to the Primavera players: “It is fortunate to be here, I do not interpret football as a sacrifice and I want to pass it on. We trained at Sisport with only one field, here there are ten changing rooms, five-six beautiful fields. I would like to live in here “. How will the new Juventus of Montero be? “I like aggressive, short, dynamic teams with fast transitions. You have to understand the situations, when you can play and when not, you have to be pragmatic and concrete, do the facts. And then I’ll try to instill my ideas and collaborate with Brambilla and with Mr. Allegri who has more experience than me “.
