Tudor and the management look again at Atletico to fill the hole on the right
There is a lot of work to be done within Juve who are holding back. Igor Tudor has put the trip to Lake Como – the appointment for the resumption of the championship – at the center of his tactical laboratory, but the Juventus coach, at the same time, continues to keep an eye on what could happen in January when the transfer market reopens its doors. Where does this Juve urgently need repairs?
World Cup at risk

On the wing, on the right, there is a small, large “hole” to fill: the presence of a full-back. Pierre Kalulu, always present, is working overtime and doing it in a double direction: physical resistance and resilience for a mission, that of a right winger higher than the defender position, which does not belong to him as a personal historical baggage. So what? Here the profile of Nahuel Molina, 27 years old, a Cholo Simeone loyalist, is back in the news again forcefully, but, to tell the truth, not as much as in the recent past. Molina and Juventus is the story of a contact that took place last summer: the Argentine world champion was expected to arrive under the Mole in the operation that brought Nico Gonzalez to Madrid, Atletico side. Nothing came of it because Molina planted his feet: it was better to stay at the Metropolitano in the season leading up to the World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico next June, the choice of Messi’s partner in the best Argentina of all in Qatar 2022. Tudor received the no without any sign of rebellion, on the contrary: the Croatian began to reshape his black and white creation by bringing out the wild card Kalulu. Some time has passed since the end of August and, above all, a few games have passed: if Juve slows down – five draws in the last five outings -, Molina stopped for just 108′ on the pitch, of which 1′ before the break and 8′ in the previous match. Translated: something in the transmission between the winger with a past at Udinese and Simeone got stuck and Molina’s world turned upside down. The Argentine who said no to the move to Turin so as not to jeopardize his call-up to America in June finds himself with the same call-up under discussion due to the decision to stay in Madrid: twists of fate or tricks of the ball. In January what did not materialize in the summer could thus occur, for the sake of peace between the parties involved: Tudor would entrust the right wing to the man identified to do it better than others, Molina would regain confidence with a playing time to which he has always been accustomed before the start of this adventure. The formula could be that of a loan with the right to buy (similar to that of the former Juventus player Nico Gonzalez), the conclusion would see the clubs happily ever after. There’s still a bit of time left in January and a lot of exams: for the moment, Kalulu is there to occupy with good results an area of the pitch where Igor would like to intervene: Molina has changed his mind, the Juventus courtship can be successful when the market reopens.
