Juve, Magnanelli (ex Sassuolo) for Allegri’s staff

If with the choice of Paolo Bianco at his side Max Allegri had returned to the roots of his first adventure in Serie A, with Francesco Magnanelli he goes even further and dusts off the memory of the first championship he won: in the 2007-08 season, when the coach from Livorno brought Sassuolo from Serie C1 to B, the former midfielder turned out to be the best midfielder of the season. Fifteen years later, the maestro would like the pupil to join him at Continassa to give him a hand: he is the first choice to reinforce the Juventus technical staff.

Born in 1984, Magnanelli wrote history at Sassuolo as a footballer: 520 overall appearances and such a strong attachment to the shirt that he pushed the club to retire the number 4 shirt at the end of his career. The new parenthesis as a coach began last summer, when he joined Alessio Dionisi’s staff. Now, however, the former midfielder is Max Allegri’s first choice, for precise reasons: the coach wants a young collaborator, who can communicate easily with the players and who can bring fresh air to the group of collaborators. He is basically a trusted man who can carve out an important space for himself during the week and who – by no means secondary – is able to convey to young people that sense of belonging which is useful for making a difference. Magnanelli received the call from Max: in these days he is thinking about it and will soon formally meet with the club. There is a good chance that he is the new face of the Juventus technical staff.
