Juve, Kean owner with Sevilla: Max’s surprise move

Vlahovic and Milik destined to sit on the bench in the most important match of the year

The surprise move in Seville, the Allegrata to detach the pass towards the Europa League final and attempt the assault on the trophy, is Kean in the starting lineup. Between Vlahovic and Milik Max should choose Moise, a partly courageous decision but which directs a certain match strategy. The Juve coach doesn’t want to concede points of reference to the defensive phase of the Spanish formation, should it go badly he could always upset the balance of the match with Chiesa and his two centre-forwards. For Kean, on the other hand, it’s a running train to jump on: now or never, to prove that he can be worthy of a great team.

Tired season

Just a few days ago Allegri said he wanted to focus on the boy in this season finale. Kean’s minutes on the pitch in May so far have been just seven, in four games. On balance, the coach put him on the right field for the final stages of Juve-Cremonese. And so the attacker, who had stopped in April with a muscle problem, seemed almost like a mysterious object in recent weeks. A little in the wake of last year, the footballer also this season has struggled to find continuity of employment, so much so that he has evaluated the sale for next summer, in order to find more space. However, the call for the most important match of this season finale changes the cards on the table: the signal is strong.

Closed

From the beginning of the season to now Kean has been used on 36 occasions, but his playing time is low: just over 1,200 minutes. For a class of 2000 on the launch pad, with European experience behind him and a good average score this year too (8 goals, often scored when he started as owner), playing more has become a need. At Juve, however, the player is closed by Vlahovic and Milik in the role of center forward, Chiesa and Di Maria from underneath. And, despite having different characteristics from his team mates, Allegri’s turn on the two-man attack instead of three ended up penalizing him, reducing his potential space. The semifinal in Seville, however, can at least change his perception of him, especially if he were decisive in the match.

Future

Kean’s future depends above all on matches like these. Juve, last summer, set the player’s redemption by reviewing the initial agreements with Everton, implanted on a two-year loan. Also last summer, the bianconeri did not exclude the possibility of selling him, but then all the possible joints did not prove to be suitable for starting the sale. In the meantime Kean has changed agents, leaving the Raiola team to join Lucci’s. His potential is tempting in Italy but above all abroad: in Turkey, as in France, the attacker has a rich market. However, the Bianconeri have redeemed him for 28 million and are not willing to depreciate him: only reasonable offers are accepted. Provided that in the meantime he doesn’t make his way: watch out for Seville.
