Juve-Inter, Stadium towards the seasonal record: two years ago it was behind closed doors

In March 2020 Juve-Inter was the first round without fans, this time the first match is played at 100 percent capacity. Full house announced. The primacy of spectators and receipts remains the Derby d’Italia of December 2018, surpassing it depends … on the Inter sector

Sunday at the Stadium, on the occasion of the Italian derby between Juve and Inter, will be a return to the past. The record attendance in the stands (which is now certain) is due to the 100% capacity allowed for the first time in two years: the world of football definitively comes out of the tunnel of anti Covid restrictions right where it started, on 8 March 2020. On that occasion the Bianconeri won the Nerazzurri 2-0 thanks to goals from Dybala and Ramsey, virtually sewing on the last of the nine consecutive league titles, the one under Sarri’s management. It was the first competition behind closed doors, without an audience.

TICKET RECORD

Juve-Inter signed 2022 returns in the wake of the last record, played on 7 December 2018: the 1-0 signed by Mandzukic in front of 41 thousand and 495 spectators, for a collection of 3 million 163 thousand 509 euros. Sunday’s match is one of the most anticipated of the year, Allegri’s team could earn third place over Inter, even if they will have to recover a match with Bologna (next April 27). However, the new record of attendance and collection will depend a lot on the participation of the guest sector, where the fans of the Curva Nord nerazzurri have already announced their absence following the expensive tickets (55 euros for them) and registration on the Juventus website as a condition obliged to purchase the coupons.

The previous Villarreal

The other restrictions established by the Police Headquarters concern residents of the province of Milan (except those who are in possession of the Juventus Card) who will not have access to other areas of the stands except in the guest sector. For all the others, the free sale has already started on Monday, prices vary from 50 euros for the curves to 230 for the central stands and the tickets have almost all been sold. The figure is still evolving but for obvious numerical reasons it already offers a projection higher than the seasonal record of 30 thousand 383 spectators (for a collection of 2 million 386 thousand 536 euros) recorded last March 16 at the Juve-Villarreal of Champions, with 75% of capacity allowed.
