Juve, Bremer’s injury: examinations at J Medical, the hypotheses on the times

Exams at JMedical for Gleison Bremer, forced to leave the pitch in the 52nd minute of the derby between Turin and Juventus due to a problem with his left thigh flexor. For the Brazilian defender it is the first injury of the season, the second time he has asked for the change ahead of time: with Spezia, however, five minutes from the end, it was just cramps. He should have stopped in time to avoid muscle injury, but it will be the outcome of the medical examinations that will make it clear.

In all likelihood, Bremer will miss Empoli on Friday night, but he should be able to bet the trip to Benfica in the Champions League. That will be the decisive match to define Juve’s destiny in the highest European competition, with the concrete possibility of remaining out of the race to the second round in the event of a draw or defeat. The Brazilian is in his first season as a protagonist in the cup but he has already carved out an essential space there too, in black and white. With him, however, the hierarchies in the defensive department have also changed, since paired with Bonucci he struggles a little more than when he finds himself playing next to Danilo. Without Bremer, on the other hand, there will be more space for Gatti and Rugani, so far only used for 180 minutes each.
