Justin Timberlake on The Simpsons

Justin Timberlake is on everyone’s lips again these days. However, it is not necessarily positive news that surrounds him. Britney Spears tells in her newly published memoir “The Woman In Me” how she was cheated on by Justin Timberlake, left pregnant and even aborted her unborn child at his urging.
Which of these is actually true remains an open question for now. The singer has not yet commented on the revelations, but in the past he has responded to some accusations made by his ex-partner from a very young age with a request for forgiveness.
The two “Mickey Mouse Club” stars first started dating in 1999. They split three years later after he reportedly broke up with a two-word text message. While Timberlake and Spears were together, NSYNC were a big deal (when the album “No Strings Attached” was released, it set a sales record) and that’s probably why they appeared in the 12th season of “The Simpsons” in the episode “The Sensational Pop” Group” (New Kids on the Blecch).
Justin Timberlake didn’t think it was funny at all
The boy band around Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Lance Bass and Joey Fatone had a pretty big performance, even if it was actually a combo called Party Posse founded by Bart, Nelson, Milhouse and Ralph. Nevertheless, the introduction of the teenage heartthrobs was memorable. Especially that of Justin Timberlake, who says only one word in one sequence, over and over again: “Word”.
The joke came about by chance because Timberlake couldn’t recite his script lines with his colleagues. Apparently the audio tracks for the scene didn’t match. In any case, the producers of the “Simpsons” made fun of the later megastar so mercilessly that he no longer had much desire to talk about the Yellows at all. He later let Matt Groening and Co. know in a memo that he would never in a million years use the word “Word” like that.
