Justin Bieber appeared as one of four celebrity captains at this year’s NHL All-Star Game in Toronto last Saturday.
Several NHL stars were eager to take pictures with the Canadian pop star during warm-ups. One of them was the top name on the point exchange, the superstar of the Colorado Avalanche Nathan MacKinnon.
In social media, there was particular interest in one photo in which Bieber poses with MacKinnon on his left and the Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby right.
Many noticed in the TV broadcast how Bieber got a little closer to Crosby than to MacKinnon. Several fans speculated that the pop star did it so she could cut MacKinnon out of the picture.
The guesses were right. When Bieber shared that photo on his Instagram accounthe cut MacKinnon out of it.
However, MacKinnon got into another Bieber Instagram photo. In addition, the pop star shared photos Connor McDavid’s, by William Nylander and by Auston Matthews with.
In the final of the all-star game, Bieber was behind the bench in the team of Matthews and three other star players of the Toronto Maple Leafs selected for the game.
Team Matthews ended up winning the weekend, defeating McDavid’s team 7–4 in the tournament finals.
The other three celebrity captains of the star match were singers Michael Bublé and Tate McRae and an actor Will Arnett.
