Mike Teunissen missed his second podium spot during the Tour of Norway by sprinting to fourth place.
In the ride to Kristiansand, Teunissen came up just short in the sprint, after a last-minute attack by teammate at Jumbo-Visma, Nathan Van Hooydonck, was thwarted.

“It was an unfortunate sprint”, Teunissen said on his team’s website. “Timo Roosen put me in a perfect position, but I took the lead just too early. Then you know they’re going to come back. I didn’t dare to start too early and then I couldn’t get over it. That was a shame. “

Austrian Marco Haller eventually won the fourth stage of the Tour of Norway, which ends on Sunday. Mike Teunissen is in 30th place in the general classification, more than fifteen minutes from leader Remco Evenepoel.
