On July 14, the rumor mill simmered on social media. Drake is said to have been arrested at a nightclub in Stockholm. Memes, hashtags and semi-serious outrage emerged. Now the rapper’s team spoke up and denied this assumption. Drake was never arrested.
The trip to Sweden was easy to follow on Instagram. Drake landed in Stockholm on July 13th, en route in his private plane, modestly named Air Drake. According to local media, the rapper then visited the hip district of Österalm and ate at the Italian-American restaurant Ciccio.
On Twitter you had a different picture of the trip. Users speculated that Drake was arrested for marijuana possession. The sarcastic hashtag #FreeDrake emerged.

Mixed reaction to new album
Last month, Drake released the album HONESTLY, NEVERMIND out of nowhere. Neither fans nor critics were really enthusiastic. The work, which showcases Drake’s new love for dance music, has already been the target of memes and derisive comments on social media. The rapper’s answer: The fans are just not ready for the new sound.
