“Just need to let it sink in”: forty parents…

Tine Declercq from Anzegem is more than 4 months pregnant.

“We were initially told it was a girl, but now after reanalysis it would be a boy,” says Tine.

“The first moment is a bit strange because you are not sure whether it is just about that gender and not about the results themselves. It was a bit of a shock. We had to let that news sink in.”

It was a shock for mom Tine and the family party might have to happen again soon.

“Luckily we haven’t bought any furniture yet, but we had already organized a ‘gender reveal’, so a party where you announce the gender,” says Tine.

Tine is still not completely sure, because an ultrasound did not provide any clarity. And is there a preference…?

“That’s dangerous to say. Maybe the baby will see it later on television, so sorry already, but we have a slight preference for a boy…” Tine concludes.
