‘Just do it’ foreman Henny Vrienten passed away at the age of 73

Henny had been ill for a long time. At the end of September, the farewell tour of Go ahead canceled due to his illness.

The funeral will take place privately. The family asks for peace and privacy. “He was a wonderful, loving father and husband. A wise, erudite man with a razor-sharp sense of humor and language,” said Henny’s family.

He leaves behind his wife Gala Veldhoen and their two sons and two sons and a daughter from a previous relationship.

Career

Henny was foreman of Go ahead† That band was founded in 1978, but Henny only joined two years later. He was a versatile musician: he could sing, compose and play guitar and piano. The band disbanded in 1984, but made a comeback in 2000.

Henny also released several solo albums and made music for various films and television programs.

Disease

His family makes no statements about Henny’s illness. Even then Go ahead the farewell tour cancelled, nobody spoke about what exactly Henny had.

Last album
