The lions’ brewery does not follow the media at all at the Tampere gig.
Coming from a media family and studying media, Lion Goalie Jussi Olkinuora has put zero tolerance during the Tampere World Cup gig: no online stuff, no TV, not even a paper magazine.
– It’s not bad stuff, but we try to have fun and focus on the essentials, Olkinuora says.
The visitor, who has become the number one watchman of the Lions and the most watched individual hockey player in the whole nation, says that he has been able to walk in peace in Tampere the few times he has left the Lions Hotel on the shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi.
– I’ve moved Mörkö Anttilan with. He takes all the attention.
In Saturday’s U.S. semi-final, Olkinuora stopped 25 shots.
– Tired of taste. Everything had to be given. Fortunately, that was enough. They have good players and they threw a lot of puck to the goal.
Three discs went behind the straw rope. It was more than once in the entire tournament in one match. And a total of the same amount as in the entire tournament.
– Jees had his own game. Fortunately, it was won. That was enough.
The goalkeeper was missing from the Lions training on Friday. During Saturday’s match, he stretched his legs several times.
– I always stretch a lot, and now there was nothing extra. I’m fine, everything is fine. There is no reason to be upset, the laugher laughed.
