Finland’s biggest celebration of the film industry, the Jussi gala, is celebrated today at Helsinki Cable Factory.
The gala awards the best Finnish films of 2022 and their creators. The film with the most nominations is Alli Haapasalo Girls, girls, girls, which has a total of eight nominations. In addition, Linnea Leino, who played the main role in the film, is nominated for the Valopilkku-Jussi.
Kahmi received the second most nominations Aleksi Salmenperan Bubble, which was blessed with six nominations. Jussi nominees and winners are chosen annually by an expert jury consisting of professionals together with Filmiaura’s board.
Screenplay of the year
The award was given by actors Minka Kuustonen and Kristo Salminen.
They received the Jussi award for the best script Ilona Ahti and Daniela Hakulinen from the movie Girls, girls, girls.
Set design of the year
The award was presented by actor Heikki Ranta.
The award went to Päivi Kettunen for the film Pahanhautaia.
