“I think a game like against Manchester City shows even more how unlikely it is to do something like that,” said coach Jürgen Klopp, after his team eliminated Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final (3-2).
Liverpool have already won the League Cup this season and are still in the race for the Champions League, the league title and therefore the FA Cup. Klopp: „We had to go deep again against Manchester City. In three days we will play again against Manchester United, who desperately need the points to qualify for the Champions League. Shortly afterwards, Everton follows, then again Villarreal. It’s just incredibly intense and we’re really unlikely to win four trophies.”
The other FA Cup semi-final will be between Chelsea and Crystal Palace on Sunday. The final is on May 14. The Champions League final is two weeks later.
