Sadio Mané has switched from Liverpool FC to Bayern Munich. Now his ex-coach Jürgen Klopp has spoken up.
Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp has spoken positively about the handling of Sadio Mané’s transfer to German record champions FC Bayern Munich. “I like the way it happened now because it was completely clean,” Klopp said in an interview with the English giants’ club website.
Top striker Mané and his agent communicated the 30-year-old’s desire to change early on. “They wanted a new challenge, to find a new club. Negotiations are never easy – it’s all good until we talk about money. But that worked out really well,” said Klopp.
At the same time, Klopp praised his ex-player, with whom he won the Champions League and the English championship, among other things: “What a player. A world-class player. Also a Liverpool legend, one of the all-time greats of the Premier League, I would say , with the numbers he’s got. And a fantastic human being too.”
