Ex-HSBC boss Noel Quinn is said to inherit Remo Lacher as Board of Directors at the Swiss Bank Julius Bär.
In June, the institute also wants to present a strategy update.
Provided the election, Quinn would only take up his office due to other obligations on May 1, the bank said on Friday evening. In the meantime, Vice-Board President Richard Campbell-Breeden will lead the official business.
Quinn was head of the British Bank HSBC until April 2024. The British citizen is born in 1962 and has more than 37 years of experience in the financial industry, including especially with the HSBC and its subsidiaries. He is also currently working as a non-managing director of the Sustainable Markets Initiative.
Julius Bär announced in January that the current board of directors Romeo Lacher would no longer start re -election at the upcoming shareholder meeting. The resignation of Lacher did not come as a surprise, because it is considered jointly responsible for the bank’s Signa debacle.
Furthermore, Andrea Sambo will not compete in the Board of Directors for re -election. He wants to devote himself to the operational business again, it says as a reason. He was only elected to the committee in 2024. All other members face re -election.
On June 3, the bank in London also plans to present a strategy update and thus also new medium -term goals. The bank wants to communicate further details at the time and location promptly.
