Lennon and McCartney reunited at London Heathrow Airport in 2022. In fact, this report corresponds to the facts – although the meeting of two different generations is meant here. Julian Lennon posted a photo of the meeting on Instagram on Sunday (November 13). The son of John Lennon wrote in translated words: “It’s great who you can meet like that in an airport lounge. It’s none other than Uncle Paul.” The 59-year-old said he was grateful. It can be assumed that the two accidentally crossed paths: “So, so nice and how big is the probability …”, it also says in the caption.
McCartney references Lennon’s recent record
In the second snapshot, the former mushroom head holds a smartphone in the camera. The phone’s screen shows the Spotify view of Julian Lennon’s recent album Jude. It’s not called that title for nothing: Paul McCartney once wrote “Hey Jude”, one of the most famous Beatles pieces – and probably also one of the most famous pieces of music ever – for the then five-year-old. John Lennon had recently separated from his first wife Cynthia, after which the child rarely saw his father.
Julian Lennon’s half-brother Sean Ono Lennon commented on the post with three heart emojis. McCartney’s daughter Mary also reacted to the picture: “It makes me happy,” she said.
