Jukurit targeted Leo Komarov – player budget is growing

The runner-up in the regular season is looking for a couple more packs and an attacker.

There has been activity in the player market in June. League teams are offered players from all over the world, and many high-quality domestic players are still without an employer.

– Yes, really good players have been offered. Our success last season will probably make a difference.

– Last summer we attracted players with speeches, now there is some evidence, says Jukureid’s development manager Mikko Hakkarainen.

Jukurit plans to make moves.

– We’re looking for a couple of packs and one striker here during the summer weeks, the club boss admits, but doesn’t fall short of names.

According to Iltalehti, Jukurit was at length in negotiations with NHL veteran and Olympic champion Leo Komarov. However, according to current information, the attacker will not move to Mikkeli.

– We want our team to be relatively ready on August 1st. Then we look at the beginning of the season and react if necessary, Hakkarainen continues.

The smallest budgets

KHL will not pull foreign players next season as before. Last season, more than 170 non-Russian players played there, a large number of whom have applied for or are applying for jobs in other puck series around the world.

In Europe, Switzerland and Sweden, thanks to their ability to pay, take the cream off, the NHL has its own chapter. There are enough good players in Finland.

– Certainly the league will be tougher than last season. It is because of these quality players.

Flies in particular have hit trees in the oven and money on the table in terms of player purchases.

A small market area Jukurit take on financial matters in peace.

– Our budget will increase a little. I can’t say the exact amount yet. The realized budget for last season was about 1.7 million euros, Hakkarainen et al.

Even jukurit get NHL transfer money from more than one player.

The most well-known acquisition of the people of Mikkeli is Juhamatti Aaltonen.

Jukuri’s last season regular season success spawned a place in the CHL.

– There will be an exceptional season. In August, we will be playing four practice games and the CHL will start on September 2nd.

Jukurit received a gentle travel program. Luleå, Sparta Prague and Aalborg will play in its block.

– We have a good block. The teams have interesting connections to our players. Aalborg is our defender Oliver Larsen home town.

– The Czech Kovarcik brothers played in the final against Sparta Prague last spring and won. They know the team. We are going to succeed in CHL.

– Because of CHL, we need depth in the team and we have invested in the U20 team. From there, players can be promoted to the league team during the season, Hakkarainen says.

The U20 team of Jukuri is coached Olli Jokisen brother Ville Jokinen.
