TV5’s expert Ismo Lehkonen told a funny story about himself and Jukka from Jalos.
The two faced each other as coaches in the 1997–98 season in the then 1st ice hockey division. Lehkonen coached Kokkola’s Hermes and Jalonen coached Vaasan Sport.
According to Lehkonen, both of them were completely different people then than they are today. It showed in the behavior.
– Has he (Jalonen) changed a bit since those days when he was at Sport as a coach. I then threw it on the head with an ice pack, Lehkonen said.
– We have (been through it) several times. We have both grown from it as people. Or at least Jukka is.
Lehkonen also analyzes how the lion pilot behaves with his players today. The stone-faced essence of yesteryear has disappeared.
