The head coach of the Lions, Jukka Jalonen, has stirred the chains of Finland.
IFK Helsinki’s goalkeeper Roope Taponen makes his debut in Leijon when he saves pucks in Finland’s goal against the Czech Republic on Saturday at the Nokia Arena. The match is Finland’s second in the Karelia tournament.
Taponen served as goalkeeper in Thursday’s match against Switzerland, but now he gets to play the first international match of his career.
Jalonen has made other changes to the lineup. Henrik Borgström jump to the middle of the second chain. Ville Koivunen and Niko Huuhtanen in turn rise to the sides of the triple chain.
