The men of the “veteran section” of Mikkeli Jukurei Juhamatti Aaltonen and Pekka Jormakka showed their younger selves that the SM league is an entertainment business and the audience must be offered a performance worth the price of the ticket.
The opening goal was scored by Ii’s magician Juhamatti Aaltonen, 37, who sailed like Connor McDavid konsana at full speed through the middle and floated the puck in between the goalkeeper’s pads. The hit was the Jukurei captain’s fifth of the season.
The Pelicans Lukas Jasek tied the game moments later. Right after the next attack, there was one bearing the letter A Pekka Jormakan, 32, it’s time to add some noise to Kalevankanka’s ice rink. The attacker took Otto Mäkinen taking possession of the pass by raising the puck to waist height, from where he hit the play equipment out of the air with a stylish baseball pin.
A defender who came on loan from Kärpi Taneli Ronkainen succeeded in scoring in his Pelicans debut by blasting past the puck from the blue line Frans Tuohimaan. The first set ended in a draw.
JYP sent the goalkeeper to the bench
In Oulu, Kärpät quickly fell to the bottom when visiting JYP scored three goals Leevi Meriläinen past. This was enough for the Kärppie coaching staff and Meriläinen made room for the number one goalkeeper For Joel Blomqvist.
