– Disappointment!
That’s how Hyvinkää’s Tahko club legend saw it Juha Korhonen started his Instagram update on Monday, where he said that the man will not be seen in Tahko’s shirt next season.
According to Korhonen, 43, he had already informed the club management last year of his dream to play in Pihkala’s new stadium in 2024, but it will not come true now.
However, Tahko’s way of working with regard to the extension deal annoys the man the most.
– After Midsummer, I asked to find out honestly if I have a future in next season’s team. After this, I received one message just before leaving for Ruisrock, when it was announced that the club needed time until the end of July, says Korhonen.
When nothing was heard after that message, he decided to call back himself last week.
– I didn’t get a direct answer, but today I received a notification that I will not be offered a further contract, Korhonen wrote on Instagram on Monday.
The disappointment was huge.
– I thought and hoped that the club management would have at least slightly appreciated my services and what I have done for the club, but no! Just a wet rag against your face!
Tahko’s procrastination could have robbed Korhose of a chance to continue his Superpesis career.
– Now that practically all clubs’ next season’s teams are full, let’s pull the rug from under our feet! After Midsummer or at the beginning of July, I believe there would have been more free slots.
Middle finger
In the last video of Korhonen’s social media publication, a middle finger, perhaps symbolizing an unfair action, remains standing on the tactic board in the dressing room.

Tahko’s trick towards the legend of the sport has caused the nesting population to be devastated. Korhonen has received a lot of congratulations after his update.

Korhonen was promoted to the training ring of Tahko’s representative team already in 1998. He has represented the Värnkää club throughout his career, excluding the years 2017 and 2018, when Korhonen played in Kouvola.
The man won WC gold in Tahko’s ranks in 2007. There are also two WC silvers and one WC bronze in the trophy case.
In the East-West match, Korhonen has been seen no less than 11 times. He was chosen as baseball player of the year in 2012.
