Judges challenged in case of ‘black heritage’ horse breeding

The lawyers of the suspect brothers Gerrie (49) and Alex N. (51) and their 71-year-old mother from Assen have challenged the judges in the case against them. They think the judges are biased.

The suspects had to answer for fraud and drugs around a horse breeding company in Assen today, among other things. The police arrested them in 2018 after a raid on the horse breeding farm of the 71-year-old woman and her youngest son. Ten other properties in Roden, Steenwijk and Amsterdam were also searched. In breeding, the agents found more than 760,000 euros, hidden in a barrel.

There is a statement from the mother that the money comes from the horse trade, earned by the now deceased father of Gerrie and Alex. The lawyers want to speak to three horse dealers who could confirm the mother’s story.
