The judge of the National High Court Santiago Pedraz has rejected the appearance of the Generalitat as a private accusation in the separate piece of the 3% case in which the alleged illegal financing of the CDC is investigated, through the audiovisual production company Triacom, the only piece that is still under investigation. The bulk of the case has already been raised to the Criminal Chamber for trial.
In a ruling, the magistrate argues, as the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor informed him this Monday, that the Generalitat has not proven his status as offended or harmed nor has he provided data in which his new status can be supported at this time in the procedure that time arrives in instruction.
The magistrate notes that his character would be at least questionablesince ”in the Generalitat there are members of the political party directly heir to the political parties investigated in this case”, which makes the appearance as a private prosecution incompatible, which is the one faced by those directly affected by a crime.
