Jozef Lazou, 81 in the meantime, succeeds himself as European champion in the over-80s category in the 81 kilograms category. He also came close to setting a new record twice in his six attempts. Last year, Jozef Lazou was still world champion in Orlando. (continue reading below the photo)
Jozef Lazou has been lifting weights for almost 60 years, in his peak years he easily lifted 145 kilograms in the air. Now that is less, but in his category Jozef is still top.
