Journalist-comedian Jukka Lindström is accused of being a leftist – Download direct words to critics now

Comedian and journalist Jukka Lindström does not hesitate, even when they try to make him a mannequin of a certain idea.

Finns’ Saturday evenings will once again be filled with laughter and aggravation when a journalist and a comedian Jukka Lindström returns to square. A rough week night – satirical series dishes out the most talked about events in the news world without embellishing anything.

– Roughly speaking, this is a tuned version About the week’s news – series, Lindström tells Iltalehte.

However, he doesn’t have to shine in the program alone, but the series has a group of well-known comedians and journalists ready to talk.

– With this, we are trying to form such a combination that the program would have both fun and analytical commentary, he continues.

– I think it’s interesting to see what happens when you put journalists and people who are fun to work together.

The program’s scriptwriting team consists of tough satirists in the industry. Included are, among other things Yasir Gaily, Anders Helenius, Ursula Herlin and Janne Zareff.

Lindström admits that when commenting on news and current affairs programs, everything depends on the events of the news week. In the pilot episode of the program, jokes are made about, among other things, the Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilän to the uproar caused by alcohol use.

– In the case of ministers, I think criticism related to the performance of their duties belongs to Western democracy, Lindström justifies.

However, sometimes when writing a script, the jokes get so wild that, according to Lindström, it is better not to publish them.

Hard left?

Lindström’s return to the TV screen has also aroused strong reactions. Supplier Sanna Ukkola called Lindström a “leftist” on Twitter.

– Do you think Jukka Lindström is anything other than a very strong leftist? And there is no problem with that, except when he is made to make political satire in this time, when Yle, for example, is accused of exactly that, Ukkola wrote on Twitter.

However, the comedian is not afraid of mockery. He describes himself as a political bench athlete who likes to follow the political twist and shout from the sidelines.

– I don’t have a party record and I’m not married to anyone active in the party. A comedian’s agenda is laughter, Lindström answers.

– If you’re really deep into political twists on Twitter, then it’s hard to understand that I don’t care what the party position of, for example, the minister who drinks alcohol in the car is. I only bring up the fact that you can make a joke out of it, the comedian sums up.

In public discussion, you often hear people say how “you can’t say anything anymore because someone gets mad at the joke”. However, the long-distance satirist sees it differently.

– Actually, I think what these people mean is why society doesn’t laugh at the same things as before?

According to Lindström, the things that people are ready to laugh at have changed. He takes as an example the “typical” blonde jokes in which a blonde young woman is presented as stupid.

– I watched a political satire from the 60s a while ago. I didn’t understand what they were laughing at. Changes happen over time, but I don’t feel that nothing should be said anymore.
