FSV Mainz 05 will have to do without defensive player Josuha Guilavogui for a long time. The 33-year-old Frenchman suffered a muscle tendon injury in his left thigh during the 2-0 win against RB Leipzig on Saturday, as the “Zero Fives” announced on Monday. Guilavogui “will not be available in the next few weeks,” it said.
The former Wolfsburg player was only signed on a free transfer in September and played for the first time from the start in last week’s cup exit against Hertha BSC (0-3). The victory over RB Leipzig three days later was Mainz’s first Bundesliga success of the season.
