Josh Homme has had to deal with a number of blows of fate in recent years. In an interview with ITV News, he spoke about his health problems over the last 18 months, which were related to cancer. He immediately made it clear that he now “feels the best of the year.” His children supported him a lot during this time. When asked about his health, he answered: “I’m fine, I’m cancer-free.” And further: “It’s okay to be open and say: dark times are coming, but I’m trying, more than ever, to just look for the light.”

Homme told the station that a total of nine people close to him have died in the last year and a half. That also includes his former bandmate Mark Lanegan and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. “I had a little grief, and I had a little of this and a little of that,” says the musician. “But I’ve never learned so much so quickly. So in the end I’m kind of grateful for everything because I feel closer to the things that I really love.”.
