Jort Kelder refuses to become a kind of ‘Tim Hofmannetje’

Jort Kelder refuses to become part of the woke community. “We all have to become little Tim Hofmanns. Well, I didn’t think so,” says the Op1 presenter.

It really bothers Jort Kelder that the woke community has so much influence on the public debate. He thinks that a small group of people have a voice that is much too big. “I think if you really started studying it, you would come back to a very small group,” he says in the program. Those aren’t jokes‘.

Tim Hofmann

Who does that small group of people consist of? “Let’s say, Sylvana Simons and a few left-wing opinion leaders who basically decree what we have to abide by. The bad thing about it is that it is totalitarian. You are right or wrong. If you don’t do what they want, then you’re wrong and you should be cancelled.”

Jort has nothing to do with those types. “Canceling is just on the person, basically to pat yourself on the back for how okay you are and I find that so annoying. They are all such ‘perfect’ people. We all need to become little Tim Hofmanns. Well, I didn’t think so.”

Mr BOOS

As the presenter of the online hit BOOS, Tim Hofman regularly tries to expose all kinds of abuses. He also brought the scandal surrounding The Voice to light. “It starts with Mr BOOS, who is always angry. He flatly said John de Mol by his balls,” says Jort cynically.

Actually, a Tim like that goes a bit too far, thinks Jort. “Imagine that Ali B didn’t do it or those ladies were very mindful, what then? Yes, then what? ‘Yes, sorry, Ali’?”

Not cancelled

Jort hasn’t been canceled yet. “I think there will be another massacre in the BN’er Dom. It’s a godsend that I’m still here, let’s face it.”

He continues: “Sometime this summer I was having dinner with a bunch of A, B and C stars and one of the gentlemen at the table, a dark gentleman by the way, said to me: ‘It’s actually kind of ridiculous that you haven’t been cancelled’, because he always listens to my podcast. ‘How is it possible that this is still allowed at the NPO? That really has to stop!’”

‘Do your best!’

Was that a joke from this fellow celebrity? “He meant it, with a small smile I must say. So that’s how it goes and I also think that people are nominated in their circle, like: it should fall now.”

However, Jort is not afraid of that. “I would say: guys, do your best.”
