“Don’t call me.” Eva Jinek passed that message on to Jort Kelder when he asked her to support him in his fight against Twitter. “You have to solve it yourself.”
Dutch celebrities are frequently abused in all kinds of malicious online advertisements about, among other things, bitcoins. The target? People knocking money out of pockets. And that works well. Jort Kelder, who is frequently abused in those advertisements, has started a case against Google together with Alexander Klöpping and Arjen Lubach.
Eve refuses
Jort also litigates on his own against Twitter. Why does he not get support from other celebrities in that case? “I have approached all kinds of celebrities, but Van Nieuwkerk, Eva Jinek, we all know them well, but no one participates. “You’ll have to solve it yourself.” They don’t feel like that kind of publicity attention, so I’m going to do it.”
He tells Shownieuws that Matthijs and Eva have completely abandoned him. They themselves do not want to say anything about it to the show section. “Eva has been approached and there is no substantive response,” said expert Natacha Harlequin.
Jort in principle
Jort emphasizes that he is not doing it for himself. “I just don’t think people should be given rubbish. Without Twitter and without Google, there would still be a lot of elderly people who still had their pensions.”
“I was here in court last week with an old elderly firefighter who had lost all his savings. He clicked on my head, then came to a site of those bitcoin guys and at one point his computer was just taken over. He saw his cursor move across the screen, from click-click-click, and so his balance gone! He never bought bitcoin at all, that’s just theft.”
