TV influencer Jorma Sairanen69, reflects on the level of contemporary programming in Helsingin Sanomat. According to Sairanen, the situation of domestic production companies is worse than in years, when companies fire or lay off employees.

Sairanen offers a solution to the miserable situation of production companies: “We should do less and better quality”.
– A certain kind of bubble has developed in Finland. A huge number of drama series have been made with the assumption that they would have a significant export to foreign countries. It has turned out to be a vain hope because the quality is not enough. At the same time, domestic channels have been competing for their lives by ordering way too many programs, he states.
Sairanen also expressed his direct opinion about the TV industry Daddy Cool – Three decades at the top of the television world – in his revealing book, which was published in 2017.
