The thirty-something was working for his own company in landscaping and maintenance in the Vlietstraat in Herent, a field road that runs parallel to the E314, when things went wrong. He came to pick up a container with his truck. When he started the procedure whereby the container is automatically lifted onto the truck, something went technically wrong with the crane. The man was of no avail. An expert from the public prosecutor’s office came to examine the tap. The man’s family also came to the scene of the accident. They are received by the police and victim support.
