Jörgen Raymann has blatantly poorly prepared his schnibble as presenter of the presentation of the Jos Brink Prize, says Private journalist Jan Uriot. “He did that so badly.”
The Jos Brink Prize is awarded every two years to a person or organization that is committed to the acceptance of the queer community. Two weeks ago, the prize was awarded to the Pink 50+ Foundation. The event in the Amsterdam theater DeLaMar was talked together by the well-known comedian Jörgen Raymann.
‘So bad’
Private star journalist Jan Uriot was there and thinks that Jörgen has done this schnibble really badly. “The presenter on duty was Jörgen Raymann and he did it so badly. I really want to say that,” he says in the podcast Marc-Marie and Jan are not afraid of anyone.
So what went so bad? “He just couldn’t name a name. It all had to be read from a piece of paper or from the autocue. Sometimes he really didn’t know what it was about.”
Mess
Yet Jörgen was not even the lowest point, according to Jan. “It got even worse when the chairman of the jury came forward, Jeangu Macrooy, and he didn’t know it either. Then you think: they have been meeting about that for six months. He couldn’t pronounce the names of the nominees. It was a mess!”
Co-host Marc-Marie Huijbregts: “It is also so strange that they ask Jörgen Raymann for that.”
Jan: “That’s why I just said: I can be hired just recently.”
By a gay
Marc-Marie thinks that such a prize should be awarded by a gay man anyway. “Yes, in Amsterdam you fall over the gays who can present that well. I mean: on every street corner there is a gay who can present this.”
Jan: “I don’t quite get it either and I certainly didn’t see the connection with Brink.”
Marc-Marie: “No!”
