Portuguese football legend Jorge Costa has died at the age of 53. Costa’s ex-club FC Porto told about this in his announcement.

Costa is one of the biggest players in FC Porto ever. He played 324 matches and won 24 trophies, including eight Portuguese championships. One of the biggest Costa achievements is José Mourinho Leading a coaching team as a captain to the Champions League victory in 2004.
In the Portuguese national team, Toppari played 50 national matches and won the Player of the Year Award in his home country in 2000.
Costa is also remembered for his short visit to the English Premier League, where he played in the 2001-02 Charlton.

Costa ended his gaming career in 2006 and became a coach. He was able to tour 16 clubs around the world, including head coach in Portugal, Romania, Cyprus, Tunisia, India and Gabon. Last season, he returned home in FC Porto in his new role.
