The man who was stabbed to death in the center of Rosmalen on Saturday evening is 22-year-old Jordy from Den Bosch. He leaves behind his pregnant girlfriend and a one-year-old son. That confirms lawyer Priya Soekhai, who assists the family.
It gives her the shivers, says Soekhai. “His girlfriend is 32 weeks pregnant. That he can no longer even meet his own child and see that other male grow up … You shouldn’t think about that.”
An investigation is currently underway into what exactly happened at the De Driesprong restaurant square. According to the lawyer, things went wrong when Jordy’s girlfriend and sister were attacked on the terrace of the EetBar by two girls, aged 16 and 17, who have since been arrested as suspects.
“Jordy’s sister has been bullied by those girls for some time,” says Soekhai. It is not yet known why the fight broke out. It is clear, however, that heavy blows have been dealt. “One of the suspects is a trained kick boxer. Jordy’s sister has suffered a number of bruises, his girlfriend even a broken nose.”
According to the lawyer, Jordy would have seen his girlfriend being thrown to the ground. “That was the trigger for him to get a story.” But once we got to the riot, things quickly got out of hand. “Instead of talking, one of those girls grabbed a carving knife from the table.”
With that, Jordy was stabbed almost immediately. He fled, bleeding profusely, to the nearby Grand Café Bottles, where he died of his injuries. The two suspects, a 17-year-old girl from Den Bosch and a 16-year-old girl from Rosmalen, are being held for further investigation.
