Jordan Henderson pays millions for a move

Jordan Henderson is desperate to leave the Saudi Arabian league. The 33-year-old is apparently even prepared to pay a lot of money for this.

England international Jordan Henderson is about to move to the Netherlands. The midfielder should sign with Ajax and strengthen the center. According to a report in the Telegraph, Henderson is even said to have indirectly paid money for this. The 33-year-old will lose the equivalent of 4.6 million euros.

The 33-year-old is said to have deferred his salary in the first six months of his time at Al-Ettifaq. Under UK law, a person is considered a resident for tax purposes if they stay in the country for more than 90 days.

Since Henderson had only transferred in the summer, he had exceeded these 90 days due to the first half of the year and had to pay the taxes. He wanted to receive the millions saved from the first half of the year in Saudi Arabia in the second half of the season, when a new year begins. As planned, it should no longer exceed 90 days in 2024. But he will probably no longer be paid this deferred salary due to his move, reports the Telegraph. At least Henderson expects to come away empty-handed.

Henderson also reportedly offered himself to Bayern
