Here, in his self-built cockpit with all the bells and whistles, a man sits in the clouds. “Look,” he points to one of the screens. ,,Can you see the Martinitoren in the distance? How real do you want it? To drool so beautifully.”
It started with a huge collection of radio-controlled boats. Mak enjoyed some fame in a previous life as founder of the Vaargroep Nienoord. ,,I soon had those boats under control,’ says Mak. ,,But I also had a small helicopter. I just kept messing around with that thing. I gave up after half a year.”
