Lynx and Jonas Oden canceled their contract that lasted until spring 2024.
Ilves announced the termination of the 22-year-old forward’s contract on Thursday.
In the early season, Oden scored 0+3=3 in 16 league matches and 2+1=3 in six CHL matches.
In last season’s bronze medal team, the attacker who was admired for his speed scored the record points of his league career 11+18=29 in 56 matches and 1+1=2 in 14 playoff matches.
This season, Oden’s role in the team became smaller.
– We thank Joonas Oden for his time at Ilves and for the work done for the club, and we wish him all the best in the future, Ilves sports director Timo Koskela says in the announcement.
SaiPa quickly announced that it had acquired Oden with a contract that runs until 2024.

Platt to Tappara
Tappara announced that he signed a contract covering the rest of the season with the attacker by Geoff Platt with.
Platt, 37, moves to the axe-breasts from JYP, where he scored 2+4=6 in 18 matches.
Platt, who holds Canadian and Belarusian passports, has accumulated experience in many of the world’s best hockey leagues, including the NHL, where he played 46 games with 4+10=14 points.
In the league, in addition to JYP, Platt has represented Ilves in a total of 63 matches with power points of 22+22=44. In the KHL’s Jokers, he played in the 2018–19 season with 11+13=24.
